About 8 other Amber Ridge Residents were in attendance.

1.Kelly Foulk – Mayor’s Liaison – discussed issues relating to Franklin Township.

  • Her office hours are 1-3 pm Mondays at the Franklin Road Library
  • Next Door is a new social media tool available for communities to post information to community members and other communities.
  • Starting in June there will be a roundabout constructed on Thomspon and Five Points Road. This intersection will be blocked until the end of July. There is a meeting scheduled to discuss this if you would like to attend.
  • There is another roundabout in the future at Franklin and Thompson road.
  • The Great Indy Clean-up is going on 25 April 2015.
  • For Crime Watch, there is a national night out in August every year where beat officers will come.
  1. Kat talked about the new entrance signs being done. Debbie talked about the new landscaping plan that will be put into place around the new signs.
  1. Pamela talked about crime watch. She emphasized the importance of calling the police if you see teenagers in the area after curfew. Call 911 and report it. There has been graffiti on the playground so if anyone sees this taking place please call the police. Also we asked everyone in attendance if they receive the emails about the crime happening in the community and most said yes. We encouraged them to sign up if they have not done so.

** We did have a resident who is a police officer attend the meeting and he said that by law a police officer living in the community cannot respond to a situation unless it is a life and death situation. You must call 911 to get the beat officers who will respond.

  1. Refrigerator magnets with all of Amber Ridge’s contact information was passed out to everyone in attendance.
  1. Jan talked about how many properties were for rent. There are 18 in the community. The question was brought up about there being a cap of 20% of the community. No one knew the answer on this so it will be brought up to Kelly – the Mayor’s Liaison. The issue of how many people per rental property was allowed was discussed. The homes are rented as single family homes so there cannot be more than one family.
  1. The issue of the snow plow making piles right at the bus stops was brought up. Debbie said that the company knows where the bus stops are and next year she will make sure it is emphasized to them.
  1. A question was brought up about the website not being updated. The  HOA web person was not at the meeting so it will be brought up to him at a later time.
  1. Someone asked about having these meetings more than once a year. Because turnout is so low, and has been consistently, this is not an option. But any resident is welcome to attend the monthly board meetings.
  1. The community clean up is scheduled for April 18th at 10 am. All were encouraged to attend.
  1. Debbie mentioned that the HOA is still working on no overnight parking. Nothing to report on progress on this issue.
  1. The annual budget was available for anyone to see as well as copies were given to each homeowner with their annual dues letter.
